Dr. Wayne Cannon was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and educated in public schools. He graduated with honors from Myrtle Beach High School. He attended Wofford College and graduated from Southern College of Optometry with a Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees. After graduation, Dr. Cannon served in the military for 37 years. He received a commission in the United States Army and served in France during the Cold War, Fort Jackson’s Moncrief Hospital during the Vietnam Conflict and served in the U.S. Army reserves for thirty years. During that time, he was activated for Desert Storm and retired as a Colonel. Dr. Cannon joined the practice of Dr. Clarence McEachern (which later became Drs Eyecare) in 1967. Dr. Cannon has published many articles on contact lenses and other areas of optometry and has lectured throughout the United States on various topics. He has also served as a clinical investigator for many contact lens studies. He is a member of Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church where he has served on many committees and taught Sunday School for many years. He is married to Anne and is the father of Dr. Brian Cannon. He enjoys boating, going to the beach and spending time with his grandsons.

Dr. Brian Cannon was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1992. He joined Drs Eyecare in 1992. Dr. Cannon has served on the American Red Cross Pheresis Board. He is an Eagle Scout and has volunteered for many years with Boy Scout Troops 314 and 312. He currently serves as Treasurer to Troop 312. He is a member of Ashland United Methodist Church where he has served on many committees and taught adult Sunday School. Dr. Brian has participated in dozens of triathlons, including the Great Floridian Ironman Triathlon. He is married to Dr. Kathy Cannon and they are the proud parents of two sons. Dr. Brian enjoys anything about the great outdoors and spending time with his family.

Dr. Kathy Cannon was born and raised in Florida. She graduated with a double major in Biology and Chemistry from Troy University in 1988. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1992. She also joined Drs Eyecare in 1992. Dr. Kathy also volunteered for many years with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She has served on the Columbia Swim League board. She also is a member of Ashland United Methodist Church where she has served on various committees including Director of Vacation Bible School for many years. She also has taught Sunday School for many years. She is married to Dr. Brian Cannon and they have two boys. She enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
